The Rat in the Hat was written by David Rucker in 1995 and illustrated by Vic Lockman. It was published in a limited edition for his 40th birthday. David served as a spokesman for Associated Conservatives of Texas in the 1990’s and went to be with the Lord in 2006. He is deeply missed and dearly loved by his friends and family. We want you to share in this treasure that he left with us and are pleased to be able to share it with you online now. It is a timeless parody calling for America to wake up because time is short. Your time would be better spent using your sober time waking up to the fact that America has replaced it's ability to think with any number of distractions and delusions. Maybe this site will start you on recovery.
Question: Why do I do what I do?
1) 30 years ago I was (and still am today) concerned with the social-political direction this country had taken.
2) I became inspired (and still am) to educate the public and expose lies and misrepresentations being perpetrated on the American public by today's deceptive media and political special interest groups.
3) I hoped to assist people (and still do) in making better choices at the polls and in their private lives to enable them to change the direction this country is now headed.
4) I am on the internet so that concerned citizen will have access to information that they can use to help others make the right choices in their lives. (see below for free packet of materials) Also I am putting together some links that I use to keep a mile ahead of John Q. Citizen and years ahead of Joe Six Pack.
5) I chose the name "Grapevine Publications" with the hope that others would carry the message forward and it would continue to grow exponentially. Over these many years I have discovered the majority prefer safety and security over freedom and, of course, that means bigger government. Because that is the desire of the populace, America is in debt beyond its ability to recover any time soon. What society has demanded of government will lead to poverty and a dictatorship.... it always has been so throughout history.
